Pinoy OFW Burst Into Tears After Witnessing Mom’s Gesture
A Pinoy OFW can’t help but burst into tears after his mom who doesn’t know how to screenshot print out a copy of e-mail.
Resty Macalisang, a TikTok user and overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Malaysia was moved to tears when his mother, Evelyn Macalisang, found a unique way to share important news with him. The post elicited comments online.
Resty, who had just returned from work, checked his Messenger app to find a message from his mother. He witnessed his mother’s unwavering support and dedication.
Despite Evelyn’s unfamiliarity with technology, her gesture touched Resty’s heart deeply. She was unable to take a screenshot on her phone and decided to print out an email instead to show her son.
The email contained updates about the OFW’s insurance, which Evelyn had helped him secure. Resty, unfamiliar with the procedures of the Social Security System (SSS) contributions, was touched by his mother’s efforts on his behalf.
“Kakauwi ko lang galing work, then I decided to check my Messenger. I saw my mom’s message,… tapos nakita ko yung updates niya. Pumunta siya ng SSS kahit ‘di ko siya sinasabihan then she explained to me what to do,” Macalisang said.

“Then she sent me the picture. Bigla lang akong naiyak because I realized my mom isn’t very vocal sa love niya, but I always feel it through her actions,” he continued.
