OPTOMETRIST BOARD EXAM RESULT OCTOBER 2023 — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) just released the board exam result.

As announced153 out of 226 examinees passed the October 2023 Optometrist Board Exam.

OPTOMETRIST BOARD EXAM RESULT OCTOBER 2023 – The list of passers is expected to release on or before October 24, 2023 or in 4 working days after the last day of board exam.

PRC conducted the theoretical exam on October 10-12, 2023 at testing centers in Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, and Rosales and the practical exam on October 15-18, 2023 at testing centers in Metro Manila.

Chairperson Dr. Irene Christine C. Peliño and members Dr. Bernardita A. Garcia, Dr. Mario T. Flores, Jr. and Dr. Christine S. Rodriguez of the PRC Board of Optometry administered the board examinations.

Theoretical exam

  • Ocular Pharmacology
  • Ocular/Visual Biology
  • Clinical Optometry and Specialty Areas In Optometry
  • Physiological Optics, Binocular Vision and Perception
  • Primary Care and Refraction
  • Ocular Diseases and Ocular Emergencies and Perception
  • Ethics, Jurisprudence and Practice Management
  • Theoretical and Practical Optics and Opthalmic Dispending including Contact Lenses

Practical exam

  • Objective Examination
  • Subjective Examination
  • Ophthalmic Lens Laboratory
  • Clinical Optometry
  • Contact Lens Practice


The Optometrist Board Exam Result October 2023 may be released by the PRC earlier or later than the expected release date without prior notice.


Registrants are advised to register online through the official website of the Professional Regulation Commission and follow the steps in online registration.

Here are the following registration requirements: Notice of Admission (for identification purposes only); Duly accomplished Oath Form or “Panunumpa ng Propesyonal”; two pieces of passport-sized ID photos in white background and with complete name tag; two sets of documentary stamp; and one piece short brown envelope.

In addition, successful board examinees shall personally register and sign in the “Roster of Registered Professionals”.
