A movie about Janno Gibbs? The actor asks director Darryl Yap to make one
JANNO GIBBS – The actor asked the Maid in Malacañang director to make a movie about his life.
Janno Ronaldo Ilagan Gibbs is a singer-songwriter, actor, and comedian.
He started out in showbiz in the year 1986 as one of the members of the teen variety show That’s Entertainment which premiered on GMA Network.
He has several television shows like Eat Bulaga!, SOP, Party Pilipinas, Sunday All Stars, Nuts Entertainment, Ober Da Bakod and Beh Bote Nga.
But after being with GMA Network for 30 years, he decided to move to TV5.
In 2018, he transfered to Kapamilya Network and reunited with his former SOP colleague Regine Velasquez, and his long-time best friend Ogie Alcasid
Then, he moved to Net 25 for his comedy variety show Happy Time, with fellow comedian Kit Kat and Anjo Yllana.
Recently, he went to the image-sharing platform, Instagram wherein he posted a message asking director Darryl Yap to make a movie about his life.
“Direk Darryl, Gawan mo naman ng movie ang buhay ko. Request: Gawin mo kong matangkad, matangos at hindi nale-late sa work. Wag mo narin isama yung mga chicks na na-link sakin,” he wrote.
But the actor clarified that he was just joking.
Apparently, there were netizens who tried to understand the point of Janno.
“Historical revisionism ‘yan Sir Janno ha hehehe joke!” a netizen commented.
History Revisionism is the revision of the historical record that can reflect new discoveries of fact, evidence, and interpretation, which then results in revised history.
On the other hand, there were also netizens who criticized the actor.
Darryl Yap has yet to issue any statement regarding the pronouncement of Janno Gibbs.
