Many Filipinos tend to work abroad hoping for a brighter future for their family.

Enduring homesickness, missing birthdays, graduations, and to name a few are among the things they sacrifice in exchange for an amount to support their loved ones left in the country.

However, not all end up in a good working environment abroad.

There were cases of being maltreated by their employers, ending up in jail after being accused of something, and so on and so forth.

Among the latest was the case of an OFW from Kuwait who was fired by her employer and not given any salary in her 14 years of working.

In the video shared by Geovanni Reambonanza Baure, the OFW can be seen carrying a suitcase while holding her passport. She’s on her way to the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait.

According to the OFW, she is from Pikit, North Cotabato. She had a heated argument with her employer, prompting the latter to fire her.

“40 AED (580 pesos) lang ang pera ko, 14 years nang hindi ibinibigay ang sahod ko… siningil ko ngayon ang sabi niya ‘wala daw siyang pera’,” she said.

In the video, the crying woman could not help but call her former employer, whom she had served for several years, an ‘animal’.

The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait has yet to release any update on what has happened to the Filipina OFW.

It can be deduced based on her outfit that she works as a nanny or domestic helper.
