Karen Davila Clarifies Wearing Pink has Nothing to do with Politics

Karen Davila is not a Kakampink?

KAREN DAVILA – The veteran broadcast journalist clarified that wearing pink on TV Patrol has nothing to do with politics.

It was just recently when the incumbent vice president filed her Certificate of Candidacy (COC) as she vies for the highest position in the government,

Robredo will run independently alongside her vice-presidential running-mate Senator Kiko Pangilinan.

The congresswoman-turned-vice president will go against the presidential aspirants; Senator Manny Pacquiao, Manila Mayor, Senator Ping Lacson, and former Senator Bongbong Marcos. An immense battle between the presidential bets is expected in the coming days/months.

Following the candidacy of Leni Robredo, a lot of celebrities expressed their support, and among those are Sharon Cuneta, Angel Locsin, Enchong Dee, Jolina Magdangal, Paulina Sotto and to name a few.

Eventually, the supporters of VP Leni called themselves “kakampink” as she wore a pink dress when she declared her candidacy.

But Kapamilya broadcaster Karen Davila clarified that her wearing pink has nothing to do with politics.

“This is not a political post. Pink just looks good on TV. Walang malisya please,” she said in a photo of her alongside Bernadette Sembrano wherein they wear pink dresses.

Meanwhile, in the recent press conference of VP Leni and her vice presidential running mate Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, she explained the reason behind why they chose the color pink.

“‘Yung pink ngayon ay siya ‘yung lumalabas na global symbol of protest and activism,” Leni said.

Earlier, actress-model Ella Cruz distanced herself from presidential candidate, VP Leni Robredo as they use pink as a campaign color.
