Running Mate of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo Named
LENI ROBREDO – The running-mate of the Vice President who will be running for president in the upcoming 2022 Election was named.
The deadline of the filing of candidacies for Election 2022 is about to end. The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has set October 8 as the last day of the filing of candidacies.
Two (2) days before the filing, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo announced her decision on the calls for her to run for president. She was nominated by the opposition coalition 1SAMBAYAN as its bet for the presidential race in 2022.
Vice Pres. Robredo has always been vocal of her belief that the presidency is not something that a human plans but depends on what is meant to happen. She has always been holding tight to her goal – to unite the opposition.
The Vice President visibly wants the current type of leadership to end. Amid calls for her to make an immediate decision about the presidential bid, she took the time to weigh things and decide.
Recently, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo announced that she is running for president in the Election 2022. She assured that she will give everything she can and she will fight.
As of this writing, the Vice President is the only incumbent lady official running for the presidency next year. Many are curious on who will be her running-mate.
Citing Inquirer, Daily Guardian reported that Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan will be the running-mate of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo in the Election 2022. Several groups that support the Vice President reportedly confirmed that the Senator will accompany her on the filing of her bid for president.
