Here’s the reaction of Amy Perez after Karla Estrada was Chosen to host Face to Face on TV5
AMY PEREZ – The veteran television host shared her reaction after Karla Estrada was chosen to host “Face to Face” on TV5.
It is confirmed that the TV show “Face to Face” is returning to television, but with a different host. Karla Estrada will be replacing Perez as the host of the “Barangay Hall” on-air on TV5.
Amy was the original host of “Face to Face,” and the show became popular due to her expertise in arbitrating conflicts between opposing parties. It was reported that the hosting job was offered back to Amy, but she clarified that there is no truth to the rumors of her refusal to accept it.
According to Amy, it is not that she does not want to host the show again, but it would be embarrassing for ABS-CBN, if she were to leave though she doesn’t have a contract on the network. She also values the fact that she has never lost a show even during the pandemic and franchise renewal issues. Furthermore, her co-host in “Face to Face,” Hans Mortel, passed away in July 2021, and it may be challenging for her to continue the show without him.
Amy sympathizes with Karla and believes that they should not be compared as hosts. She appreciates the respect that Karla showed her and even visited her at home to show her love and support. “Face to Face” will return as “Face 2 Face” on May 1, replacing the time slot of “Tropang LOL,” and will air from Monday to Friday
