Food Delivery Rider Receives Fake Booking During “April Fools’ Prank”

Food Delivery Rider Airs Dismay After He Gets Fake Booking During “April Fools’ Prank”

APRIL FOOLS – A food delivery rider received a fake booking from a heartless customer during “April Fools’ Prank” day.

“Stop fake booking” This is the plea of Arvin, a food delivery rider who has fallen victim to fake bookings several times while doing his job. His post quickly circulates online and elicits reactions from internet users.

According to him, it’s becoming increasingly common for customers to make fake orders through their delivery application, wasting the time and effort of riders like him who have to prepare the food and travel to the supposed delivery location, only to find out that the order was not real.

Arvin is speaking out against this practice, as he believes it’s a form of theft that hurts the livelihood of food delivery riders who are already struggling to make ends meet.

He has also recently experienced an incident where a customer placed an order on their delivery app, but then disappeared without a trace, leaving Arvin unable to contact them and complete the delivery.

“Kapag na-cancel po ‘yung order sa amin, ibinabalik namin ito sa pinagkuhaan namin ng order. Para ma-report po namin sa app na sinauli namin kasi possible po na ma-suspend kami sa mga ganitong cancellation,” Arvin said.

While it may seem like a harmless “April fools’ prank” to some, Arvin reminds customers that this kind of behavior has real-world consequences for the people who rely on food delivery as their source of income.

He is urging everyone to use their delivery apps responsibly and only places real orders that they intend to receive, to avoid causing unnecessary hardship for riders like him.

“’Yung ibang kapwa naming rider nag-aabono sa ganitong fake booking. Sayang kasi oras namin sa mga ganiyang fake book imbis na makarami pa kami ng kita,” he added.
