Jollibee Turns Dating ‘Red Flags’ Into Viral Spicy Chickenjoy Craze

‘Jolly Red Flag’ Trends as Jollibee Hands Out Playful Flaglets With Spicy Chickenjoy

JOLLIBEE RED FLAG – A dating joke that usually means “run” has become the punchline Filipinos want with their fried chicken, after Jollibee’s playful “The Only Red Flag You Want” campaign for Spicy Chickenjoy lit up social feeds this week, with posts still circulating on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

The fast-food giant rolled out miniature red “flaglets” printed with tongue-in-cheek lines such as “Red flag na laging available for you,” “Red flag na pwede ipakilala sa friends mo,” and “Red flag worth saying ‘yes’ to.” Customers at participating stores are snapping photos and posting them under #TheOnlyRedFlagIWant.

On X, the phrase “Jolly Red Flag” trended as netizens joked that the only warning sign they are happy to collect is the one that comes with a bucket of spicy Chickenjoy. The campaign leans into how Filipinos already remix relationship memes while they wait for their orders.

Jollibee Philippines vice president for marketing Dorothy Ching said the brand wanted to bring the same fun people already create online into the dining experience. “We’ve seen how much our customers enjoy joining online trends and creating their own content, even when they’re dining in our stores,” Ching said. “We wanted to bring that same fun to their Spicy Chickenjoy experience through these playful flaglets, giving them something to enjoy, take photos of, and share with their friends.”

Limited flaglets are available at 54 participating Jollibee branches nationwide from October 15 to November 15, 2026, or until supplies last. Guests are encouraged to pick a favorite line, shoot a clip or selfie, and tag the campaign hashtag.

Endorser Alexa Ilacad has also been spotted promoting the spicy lineup alongside the red-flag props, adding star power to a promo that already feels homemade because so many diners are filming it themselves.

For a country that loves both banter and Chickenjoy, the gag lands: not every red flag is bad—especially if it comes with gravy and a side of fries.
