Kris Aquino on Fast Talk: Extreme Back Pain Remains, but ‘There Are Good Days, Finally’
KRIS AQUINO – Media personality Kris Aquino said she is finally having “good days” as she continues to manage multiple autoimmune diseases, even as she taped a television interview while dealing with extreme back pain, in remarks aired and reported on Wednesday, October 28, and Thursday, October 29, 2026.
Aquino reunited with longtime friend Boy Abunda on GMA’s Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, where she pushed back on the idea that looking well on camera means she feels well every day. “Just because I look okay” does not mean she is fine all the time, she stressed, disclosing that she was in “extreme back pain” on the day of the taping.

Still, she marked a clear shift from darker stretches of her illness. “Kasi when you (Boy) visited us… there were no good days. But finally ngayon, there are good days,” Aquino said.
She also revealed that she is set to receive immunosuppressant treatment to help control her autoimmune conditions—a regimen she said she would need “for life.” She explained that the medicine weakens ordinary defenses against illness while targeting the overactive autoimmune response that has been harming her body.
According to Aquino, the treatment is done in two sessions and then repeated about every two to three months. After each round, she said, she can walk more easily and has more strength for a stretch of weeks before the next cycle.
Despite the physical toll, Aquino framed her outlook around her sons. “Pero ’yon naman ang sinasabi ko, I’m alive and I get to see what’s happening with the two boys,” she said.
The Queen of All Media has been more visible in recent months through brand work and public appearances, even as she manages ongoing treatment. A continuation of the Abunda interview was set to air on Thursday’s episode of the talk show.
Aquino’s update adds to a year of careful returns to the public eye, with fans closely watching each appearance for signs of how she is coping with long-term illness.
