Kathryn Bernardo and James Reid Sing ‘Aaminin,’ the New Theme Song of ‘Someone, Someday’ Written From Jordan’s Point of View
KATHRYN BERNARDO – Kapamilya stars Kathryn Bernardo and James Reid are now singing together on “Aaminin,” the new official theme song of their series Someone, Someday, which is now out on all digital music platforms worldwide as of Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
The romantic pop ballad was released under Sony Music Entertainment. It tells the story of falling for a close friend, a familiar but complicated situation that can change a relationship forever. The song captures the longing, vulnerability and uncertainty that come with it.
The track started as Reid’s own idea. He wanted to create an original song inspired by the series, especially through the eyes of his character Jordan, who is struggling with his feelings for Billy, played by Bernardo. After talking it over with director Chad Vidanes, Reid shaped the lyrics as a confession that follows how the two characters’ romance develops.
“I thought writing a song from Jordan’s perspective could be interesting,” Reid said.
He worked on the song with Jason Marvin, hoping that his leading lady would agree to sing on it. “We had finished it in hopes that we could get Kathryn to sing on the track, and I’m very grateful that she did,” he said.
Reid added that recording came easy because of how long they have lived with their roles. “The process didn’t require much thought because we have been close to these characters for almost a year. It’s a simple yet beautiful song, and our vocals blended really well,” he said.
For the singer-actor, “Aaminin” is a song about hope and learning to trust your feelings, wherever they may lead.
The duet quickly started trending online after landing on Spotify. Kathryn’s pull on social media also keeps growing, with the #kathrynbernardo hashtag on TikTok already racking up more than 16 billion views even though the actress is not active on the app herself.
Fans are hoping the new song gives the series a fresh boost. Someone, Someday, which streams on Netflix, had been out of the platform’s Top 10 TV shows in the Philippines for several weeks, and supporters are rooting for the show to climb back into the chart now that its new theme song is out.
With “Aaminin” now streaming, the KathReid tandem gives viewers another way to follow Jordan and Billy’s story, this time through a song that puts Jordan’s unspoken feelings into words.
