Gadon says VP Sara Duterte will lose in the 2028 elections because of DDS
LARRY GADON – The Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation asserted that Vice President Sara Duterte would lose in the 2028 national elections because, allegedly, her supporters have angered the supporters of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
During a press conference on Wednesday, May 22, Gadon emphasized that Duterte would lose in the 2028 national elections because of the Duterte Diehard Supporters (DDS), vloggers, and her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who recently called Marcos “addict” and “crazy.”
According to Gadon, the DDS have angered the Marcos loyalists, the Ilocanos, the Warays, who he claims are the stronghold of former First Lady Imelda Marcos, and the Ilonggos under First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.
“Si Sara, I am very sure, matatalo sa 2028. Sigurado ‘yan. Itaga n’yo sa bato ‘yan. Kawawa si Sara dahil hindi niya ito kasalanan. Kaibigan ko si Sara, matagal kaming nagsama sa campaign. Kaya lang hindi niya kasalanan eh. Ang nagpahamak sa kaniya, ‘yung tatay niya, ‘yung mga DDS at iyong mga vlogger na DDS,” he said. “Siguradong matatalo si Sara sa 2028. Hindi siya iboboto ng mga Marcos loyalist, hindi siya iboboto ng mga Ilokano at ng mga Waray at ng mga Ilonggo, kasi tinawag ninyong bangag at adik ‘yung aming presidente,” he added.
Gadon also said that Duterte should just run again as the mayor of Davao City to have a chance of winning in the election. “Ito na ang katapusan ng pangarap ni Sara para maging presidente. Bumalik na lang siya sa pagka-mayor sa Davao,” Gadon said.
It can be recalled that Marcos and Duterte ran together in the 2022 national elections under the “UniTeam”. The UniTeam alliance aimed to consolidate support from their respective political bases and present a unified front to voters.
