Vice Ganda Compares Anne Curtis’ Voice to Corruption: “Hindi namin gusto. Nasanay na lang kami”

Vice Ganda likens the voice of Anne Curtis to corruption in the Philippines

VICE GANDA and ANNE CURTIS – The two hosts of “It’s Showtime” engaged in playful banter on the show, with the comedian comparing the actress’s voice to corruption.

During the “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” episode on Thursday, August 31, Vice asked the first contestant if Gary Valenciano’s songs were their song choices. The contestant confirmed and mentioned that Martin Nievera’s songs were also favorites.

Vice then asked Darren about his favorite Martin Nieverra song. He mentioned “Kahit Isang Saglit” and “Ikaw Ang Aking Pangarap.” The comedian immediately asked the singer to sing a sample of one of Gary Valenciano’s songs.

After their lighthearted exchange, Darren asked Anne about her favorite Gary V. song, with the crowd shouting “sample.” Vice didn’t seem to like where things were headed, especially since he knew Anne would seize the opportunity to sing.

“Ay sus. Talagang ginawan ng paraan [na makakanta],” Vice whispered. Anne started singing the chorus with a high note. “Tama na, Anne! Diyos ko! Tama na! Woooh! Ang ganda ganda na ng kantahan kanina,” said Vice. “Ang ganda na. Nag-Darren [Espanto], nag-Martin [Nievera], nag-Gary V, nag-Erik Santos.”

This led to a humorous exchange between the two. Anne asked Vice, “Bakit? Bakit mo ba laging binabasag ‘yung trip ko?” The audience reacted with “ohhh.”

“Ayaw mong binabasag namin ang trip mo pero lagi mong binabasag ang eardrums namin,” Vice replied. “Sobra ka naman makapagsalita. Ang ganda ganda na kaya ng boses ko. Nagpalakpakan nga ‘yung madlang people e,” Anne responded, followed by applause from the audience. “Diyos ko! Nagpalakpakan? ‘Yung boses mo parang korapsyon sa Pilipinas. Hindi namin gusto. Nasanay na lang kami,” Vice retorted.

In the end, Anne proudly asserted her “face card” to claim victory in their playful banter. “Kahit ano pang sabihin mo, maganda, pangit man ang boses ko para sa ‘yo. The truth still remains. Maganda ang mukha ko,” Anne declared, concluding their playful exchange.
