Rica Peralejo Says She Is Now Making Plans to Leave the Philippines

Rica Peralejo Admits She Wants to Leave the Philippines Over ‘Unfair’ System

RICA PERALEJO – Former T.G.I.S. star Rica Peralejo has admitted that she is now making plans to leave the Philippines, citing deep frustration with what she called an unfair system, according to reports on October 26, 2026.

In a series of Threads posts, the actress-turned-content creator said she never felt real urgency to migrate until now. “I have never felt the real urgency to leave the Philippines until now. I always entertained the thought, but it never escalated to an urgency. Ngayon talaga ayoko na,” she wrote, as quoted by GMA Entertainment.

Rica said she is heartbroken for honest Filipinos who play fair but still lose out. “Hindi na nga madali, hindi pa tapat. Hate is a strong word, but I think I’m getting there,” she added.

She also admitted feeling a bit envious of those who have already left the country, while wishing that everyone had the same option.

The celebrity mom later said some of the comments on her posts discouraged her even more, noting that the problem was not only the government but also some people. Still, she thanked those who engaged with her respectfully.

Her posts came after she criticized the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s Registration Seal Badge requirement for content creators, saying she has paid taxes since she was 13. The BIR has since suspended the mandatory online posting of the badge.

Many netizens and OFWs expressed support for Rica, with some saying they share the same sentiment but do not have the means to leave, Interaksyon reported.

Rica is married to Pastor Joseph “Joe” Bonifacio, and they have two children.
