Alice Dixson Opens Up About Being Late on Set and How Mother Lily Gave Her a Second Chance
ALICE DIXSON – Veteran actress Alice Dixson admitted that fellow actress Dina Bonnevie did not like her in the past because she was always late on set, as she looked back on her younger years on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Monday, October 26, 2026.
Alice was the first guest of Boy Abunda’s week-long birthday celebration on the Kapuso talk show, which runs from October 26 to 30, according to GMA Entertainment.

During the interview, the actress candidly shared that she did not take acting seriously when she was a teenager. “I did it because it was fun, I didn’t really treat it as work. So, I did not love and respect the work that was given to me as a teenager. I’ve felt that it was you know really not work, and I was always late,” she said in Filipino and English, as reported by GMA News.
It was during this period, she admitted, that Dina was not fond of her. Alice said she understood why. “You don’t respect your colleague if you’re always late ’cause you’re not respecting their time, so when I was younger I was like that,” she explained.
The actress also recalled how her nightlife got in the way of her work. She said she was always out dancing in clubs and having a good time back then.
“I would stay up late and then I would say I’m not feeling well so I don’t have to work in the morning. I did not love the work,” Alice confessed.
Things changed, she said, when she was given another shot at her career in her 20s by the late Regal Films matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde.
“That’s when I realized I really love what I do, I love acting, let me give it the full love and professionalism and care that it should have,” Alice shared.
She added that the turnaround paid off. “And that’s when I started, I think I got nominated for an award back then, and then the producers love for me grew again,” she said.
Aside from her past, Alice also talked about her youthful looks and the rituals she follows to stay young, in clips from the episode shared by GMA Entertainment titled around her “walang kupas” beauty.
Alice’s candid admission drew attention online, with many viewers praising her honesty about her mistakes as a young star and how she grew from them.
Boy Abunda’s birthday week also features a much-awaited two-part reunion interview with Kris Aquino, set to air on October 28 and 29, 2026.
