Rendon Labador to MTRCB After Summoning E.A.T Over ‘Pagmumura’ of Wally Bayola: “Good job!”

Rendon Labador lauds MTRCB for summoning E.A.T

RENDON LABADOR – The motivational speaker lauded the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) after summoning E.A.T over “pagmumura” of Wally Bayola in a recent episode of “Sugod Bahay mga Kapatid.”

In the said episode, Wally and Jose were engaged in a conversation with the show’s hosts, namely Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, collectively known as TVJ. While the camera was focused on Jose, Wally, who was not visible on the screen at the moment, was overheard uttering explicit words. Even TVJ expressed surprise at what they had heard and attempted to hush Wally.

It remains unclear whether Wally was aware that his microphone was still active during the incident. The incident prompted some netizens to call the attention of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). Apparently, some netizens speculated that the MTRCB might overlook Wally’s actions due to the agency chair’s association with the E.A.T. hosts. MTRCB is headed by Lala Sotto, the daughter of Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa.

Wally Bayola

MTRCB took action on the issue by summoning E.A.T., the noontime show of TVJ. According to the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board, Wally Bayola’s cursing violated Section 2 (B), Chapter IV of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Presidential Decree No. 1986 (PD No. 1986). The hearing is scheduled for August 14, 2023, at the MTRCB Offices on Timog Avenue, Quezon City.

The MTRCB reminds that any violation of PD No. 1986 and its Rules and Regulations governing films, television programs, and related promotional materials will be penalized with suspension or cancellation of permits and/or licenses issued by the Board, and/or imposition of fines, and other types of administrative sanctions.

Meanwhile, Rendon Labador lauded MTRCB for summoning E.A.T to address the issue. He noted: “Good job MTRCB!!! Pag patuloy natin ang pag protekta sa mga batang manunuod! Maraming salamat MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto!”
