Wally Bayola ‘Nagmura’ on E.A.T? Netizens Call the Attention of MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto

Netizens call the attention of MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto after Wally Bayola curses on E.A.T

WALLY BAYOLA – Some netizens called the attention of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) after the E.A.T host allegedly cursed on live TV.

The incident occurred during the August 10 episode of E.A.T’s segment, “Sugod Bahay mga Kapatid.” In this particular episode, Wally and Jose were engaged in a conversation with the show’s hosts, namely Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon or the TVJ.

While the camera was focused on Jose, Wally, who was not visible on screen at the moment, was overheard uttering explicit words. Even TVJ expressed surprise at what they had heard and attempted to hush Wally.

It remains unclear whether Wally was aware that his microphone was still active during the incident. Apparently, some netizens speculated that the MTRCB might overlook Wally’s actions due to the agency chair’s association with the E.A.T. hosts.

A netizen named Stream remarked that, naturally, Lala would disregard the matter, because she had attended the launching of E.A.T on TV5 as the daughter of Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa, and not as the chairman of MTRCB.

Another netizen named Deal Lopez suggested that Lala Sotto might not pay much attention to this incident. According to her, Wally has been engaging in this kind of behavior for a long time, dating back to the Kalyeserye days. She pointed out that this has been a regular occurrence for a while, and didn’t think it was a significant problem. Lopez thought the words Wally used were just a way of expressing himself and didn’t see a reason to make a big deal about it or ask the show “Eat” to do something.

As of now, the MTRCB has not issued any statement regarding the mentioned episode.
