Here’s the opinion of Buboy Villar on the bar brawl of Awra Briguela
BUBOY VILLAR – The Eat Bulaga host gave an opinion regarding Awra Briguela’s involvement in a brawl at a bar in Makati City on June 29, 2023.
Awra was arrested following a brawl in Poblacion, Makati last month. According to a staff member of the bar, the altercation started with a simple teasing when a group of men asked Awra for a photo. Allegedly, Awra asked the complainant to undress, but the man refused, which reportedly led to the teasing from Awra’s group.
In the CCTV footage released online, Awra can be seen attempting to remove the complainant’s clothes forcefully. He was also spotted resisting the bar bouncers’ efforts to intervene. Even outside the bar, Awra followed the complainant, leading to the brawl.
Buboy Villar, a Kapuso actor and one of the hosts of Eat Bulaga reacted on the incident. He emphasized the importance of being prepared for unexpected conflicts. “Mag-iingat, of course. Siyempre, di ba, hindi natin masasabi na once kapag tayong magkakaibigan, hindi naman yan lahat goods, di ba? Hindi naman yan okay lahat,” saad ni Buboy.
The Eat Bulaga! co-host added, “So, mas magandang marunong din tayong mag-isip. Marunong din tayong umatras minsan para makita natin kung anong nangyayari para mas makapag-step forward tayo.”
Buboy stated that he tries to avoid situations where he could get involved in trouble. “Opo, e. Kasi, ako po sobra. Lalo na po isa na po akong tatay, maingat po ako talaga. Ayoko na rin po ng, alam mo yun, ikasira ko pa. Or kung ano man ang may ikakasakit ko pa, di ba? Ika-hospital ko pa, di ba?”
