Amid criticism after being introduced as Eat Bulaga host, Paolo Contis receives emotional support from his brother
PAOLO CONTIS – The actor-host, received emotional support from his brother Carlo amid the criticisms he has been receiving after being introduced as one of the new hosts of the noontime show, Eat Bulaga.
On Monday, June 5, Eat Bulaga returned to the air, introducing the new hosts of the show, including Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar, Betong Sumaya, Alexa Miro, and the Legaspi twins.
The new hosts, particularly Paolo, faced heavy criticism from social media users. Paolo was specifically criticized for being able to give “papremyo” (prizes) but not “sustento” (financial support) to his children with his ex-partner Lian Paz. Earlier this year, he admitted that he doesn’t provide financial support to his kids.
Despite the criticisms he has been receiving, Paolo received the support of his brother Carlo, whom he referred to as his “number one basher.” Paolo expressed his gratitude, stating, “The only comment that matters… thanks to my number 1 basher, Carlo Contis.”
According to Paolo Contis via PEP.ph, he felt the unconditional love of his brother through the message he received. Here is Carlo’s message: “Congratulations Paolo! I am very proud of you! Not many people can do what you did. Accepting a job on short notice and making the most of it. I know you took a lot of heat today. Maski ako pinadalhan ng feedback. Not all 1st day on the job are great. It will just get better from here. Stay strong brother from the same mother.”
