Meet the new hosts of Eat Bulaga

EAT BULAGA – The noontime show has introduced its new hosts which include Paolo Contis, Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, Alexa Miro, and twins Cassy and Mavy Legaspi.

It was on May 31 to June 4, 2023, when the show’s production was temporarily suspended due to a major announcement made by its original hosts, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. The announcement revealed their decision to part ways with TAPE Inc., the production company behind the show.

This decision was a result of a feud between the trio and Romeo Jalosjos, the chairman of TAPE Inc., concerning the alleged removal of Tony Tuviera from the day-to-day operations of Eat Bulaga! and Jalosjos’ plans for the show.

On May 31, 2023, the trio made their announcement via a livestream on Eat Bulaga’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel, as the new management of TAPE Inc. did not allow the show to be broadcast live on air. Instead, a replay episode was aired on GMA Network.

Following the announcement, other hosts of the show, including Paolo Ballesteros, Jose Manalo, Maine Mendoza, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Wally Bayola, Ryan Agoncillo, Allan K., and various production members such as cameramen, writers, and sales staff, also submitted their resignations on the same day.

On Monday, June 5, the newest hosts of the noon-time show have been revealed namely Paolo Contis, Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, Alexa Miro, and twins Cassy and Mavy Legaspi.

In the initial segment of the revamped “Eat Bulaga” show, the hosts engage in a giveaway activity where they distribute cash prizes and a premium smartphone to lucky members of the audience. This exciting event involves spinning a roulette wheel, which is accompanied by picket fans representing different colors. These fans are then handed out to the audience members present in the studio.
