Nurse Earns Praises Online for Giving His First ‘Sweldo’ to Mom
FIRST SWELDO – A male nurse goes viral after handing his first salary, or ‘sweldo,’ to his beloved mother.
A TikTok user named “@gbrldc,” or Gabriel Angelo De Guzman, shared a touching video of himself presenting his first salary to his mother. Netizens responded in a variety of ways to the video.
Gabriel approached his mother in the video, presenting a white envelope containing his first pay, “Unang sweldo ko ma.” Angelo’s mother gratefully accepted the cash and expressed her delight at her son’s gesture.
“Ang buong iniisip ko lang that time habang hawak ko na yung sweldo ko is kahit maliit man ‘tong sweldo ko, makakabawi ako sa lahat ng ginastos at paghihirap niya para makahanap ng pera na ipang gagastos saming magkakapatid,” he said.
The male nurse becomes emotional and embraces his mother. After a few moments, the latter bursts into tears of joy, and his mother sobs as well.
Eventually, the grateful mom returned her son’s hard-earned money. “Thank you balik ko sayo to, pinaghirapan mo to anak, unang sahod mo to, tatanggapin ko to pero ibabalik ko sayo kasi pinaghirapan mo to. So ito, iingatan mo ‘tong pera mo.”

The male nurse gets emotional and hugged his mom. After a few moments, the latter cries tears of joy while his mom also wept during the heartwarming moment.
Gabriel claims that his mother told him that she will not oblige them for financial assistance, but instead wants them to save money. The health worker expressed gratitude for having good parents.
“After ng video sinabi ng mom ko na hinding hindi niya kami uubligahin sa kahit anong pang pinansyal na support, mas inisip niya na gusto niya kaming makapag ipon para sa future namin oras na mawala na sila. At that moment I realized na hindi pala sa pera lang sasaya ang tao at walang makakahigit ng pagmamahal ngbisang magulang sa mga anak. Sobrang swerte namin sa Parents namin,” he added.
