Chito Miranda: “Sa wakas…pina-uwi na si Gab sa bahay nila.”
CHITO MIRANDA – The “Parokya ni Edgar” frontman recently gave an update about his bandmate, guitarist Gab Chee Kee, after two months in the hospital due to pneumonia.
Chito Miranda posted a photo on his social media account wherein Gab, wearing a black “Walang Iwanan Sa Parokya Band” shirt, can be seen holding a guitar while sitting on a wheelchair.
He went on to give an update about his bandmate in the caption of his social media post.
The singer said that after two months in the hospital because of pneumonia, and after “several major and minor operations” dealing with complications brought about by his condition, Gab was finally sent to his home. He went on to thank those who helped in the treatment of his bandmate.
“Sa wakas…pina-uwi na si Gab sa bahay nila,” Chito said in the caption of his social media post. “Dahil sa tulong ninyo, he survived. Maraming maraming salamat talaga!!!”

Chito said that Gab was able to get the best medical attention because of the financial support that he received, adding that Gab could finally continue with his chemotherapy.
Parokya ni Edgar, in a Facebook post on Friday evening, thanked those who helped his bandmate overcome the “big challenge”. The band went on to reveal Gab Chee Kee’s illnesses:
- Acute Respiratory Distress syndrome sec to PCP Pneumonia
- Partial bowel obstruction sec to Peripancreatic hematoma
- Sepsis sec to Intra abdominal infection; Catheter related bloodstream infection; pneumonia in the immunocompromised host
- Ischemic colitis
- Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
- Subacute superficial venous thrombosis
- Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma
Meanwhile, Parokya ni Edgar has opened the offer for Marcus Adoro’s hand-drawn portraits of Eraserheads band members.
