Vivamax Director Defends Alex Gonzaga on ‘Pahid Cake’ Issue: “Mabait na tao si Cathy”

Vivamax Director Roman Perez Jr. defends Alex Gonzaga

ROMAN PEREZ JR. – The Vivamax director took to social media wherein he defended actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga.

The 35-year-old YouTuber has been making a buzz online after smearing a cake on the face of a waiter. It happened during the birthday-salubong of the latter.

Gonzaga has already apologized to those affected, especially to the waiter identified as Allan Crisostomo. The latter, on the other hand, wrote a letter to prove that they are now in good terms.

Although she has already posted a public apology, netizens continue to bash her. This prompted Roman Perez Jr., a director of Vivamax to post a statement in defense of Toni Gonzaga’s sister.

In a lengthy post, the director shared that they have worked together for almost three years on TV5. “Naidirek ko siya halos ilang taon. Kilala ko siya, naging kaibigan , ka buwisitan, naging kapatid,” he noted.

Acccording to him, Alex, whose real name is Catherine or Cathy, is a good person and not “madamot sa mga tao nakatrabaho.” In the middle of his post, he’s worried how people are being molded to become judgmental. “Hinahati tayo ng paniniwalang politika at moralidad?” he said.

The Vivamax director claimed that what Alex Gonzaga did during her birthday was “normal”. He even asked: “Hindi ba tayo nag-trip nung Birthday natin gumawa ng bagay na mag-trip?”

The director is not the only person who defended Alex Gonzaga amid her birthday fiasco. Earlier, Kris Lawrence took to social media wherein he stressed that what vlogger did was a “normal thing.” Also, Sawsawera Queen RR Enriquez defended the actress, saying there’s nothing wrong with her action.

Meanwhile, Roman Perez Jr. is the director behind Vivamax films such as Pamasahe, Sitio Diablo, Putahe, Hugas, Siklo and to name a few.
