Netizens criticized Alex Gonzaga for smearing cake on waiter
ALEX GONZAGA – The controversial vlogger received harsh criticism on social media after smearing cake on a waiter’s forehead.
On Monday, January 16, 2023, the actress-vlogger celebrated her 35th birthday. Her natal day, however, was marred by criticism for what she did to a waiter.
After blowing her cake, Alex smeared chocolate icing on the forehead of the waiter. In the video, the vlogger can be seen along with her husband and Lipa City Councilor Mikee Morada.
The scene was captured via cellphone video and was uploaded on social media. Although it only lasted for 12 seconds, it immediately went viral. It also garnered mixed reactions from the netizens with some calling her “insensitive”.
A netizen remarked: “Nag se-celebrate din kami ng birthday, pero DI GANYAN ka bastos at walang MODO. anyway, GOODLUCK mga…” There were netizens who expressed their sympathy to the waiter.
“I feel sorry kay kuya server… because for sure, he felt humiliated. HINDI NAKAKATUWA. Sana masaya ka sa birthday mo,” a netizen wrote. “Syempre biro lang sa kanila yan!!! Most powerful sila dba? Pro ung waiter, mahal niya trabaho niya,” a netizen commented.
Among those who posted the video of Alex’s smearing cake on a waiter was Dani Barretto, the daughter of Marjorie Barretto. But she immediately deleted the clip. However, netizens were able to secure a copy of it and upload it on social media platforms.
Presently, Alex Gonzaga is making a buzz online particularly on Twitter. The actress-vlogger has yet to issue any statement regarding the criticism she has been receiving.
