CLAYGO, which is now a common policy in public places, has been a trending topic in the past few days. This was after a beach resort in Davao Oriental called out a group of vloggers and posted photos of what happened to their villa. One of the photos posted by the resort management showed the trash left behind by the group, including their leftover dishes.

The post sparked a discussion about how visitors should behave when staying in rented accommodations. There were apparently netizens who chastised the beach resort’s management for “publicly shaming” the vloggers. One netizen even said that the resort might be sued. The beach resort has already issued an apology after dropping the name of the vloggers in their post.

Prior to that incident, a Facebook user named Jean took to social media wherein she called out customers for not observing the “CLAYGO” policy.

In the first part of her post, Jean said it’s not hard to at least clear the table after eating. “Make it a habit to clear the table after eating in a fast food chain or clean the spilled drinks or sauce. It’ll help the overworked staff,” she noted.

According to her, doing so will promote common courtesy to the next customers who will use the same table at the same time earn the respect of the fast-food branch and service crews. Jean is hoping that the parents of the kids (customers) will teach them clean as you go (CLAYGO).

For Jean, they should also consider that they are not eating alone and if they are that “messy”, they should get a private room so that they can’t disturb other customers who are eating. Before she ended her rant, she revealed that the customers were actually students.
