JAKKA Beach Resort Releases Official Statement Over ‘Dirty’ Villa Issue vs Vloggers

Official statement of JAKKA Beach Resort over viral post versus vloggers

JAKKA BEACH RESORT – The controversial beach resort located in Davao Oriental has released a statement following their issue against vloggers.

It was just recently when JAKKA Beach Resort went to the social networking site, Facebook wherein it called out vloggers K’Nayn Motovlog and Pobreng Lagaan. The resort’s management complained about how the vloggers treated their property.

In a Facebook post, the beach resort posted some photos showing what happened to their villa wherein a group of vloggers stayed. One of the photos the resort management posted showed the trash that the group had left behind, including their leftover dishes.

The post prompted a discussion regarding how visitors ought to act when staying in rented accommodation. Apparently, there were netizens who chastised the management of the beach resort for “publicly shaming” the vloggers. One netizen even said that the resort may face a lawsuit.

This prompted the resort management to issue an official statement. Here’s the official statement of JAKKA Beach Resort:

In their statement, JAKKA Beach Resort apologized and stressed that it is not their intention to publicly shame or embarrass the guests of their resort. According to the management, the only reason they posted “unsightly” pictures of the resort is for “public awareness.”

The vloggers have already spoken up regarding the incident. K’Nayn Motovlog chastised the resort for publicly humiliating them on social media without even giving them a chance to defend themselves. She also expressed her displeasure with the resort’s fees and even claimed that using the utensils was not complimentary.

  1. I definitely agree to file a case against Jakka for data privacy issues. Any normal hotel/ resort/ restaurant who knows about hospitality would agree what happened to the villa with all it’s “kalat” is just normal. I went to that place before and I do not see any rules like Claygo or we ourselves would clean. The purpose of paying a exorbitant amount for the Villa is that it includes the cleaning fee. They said there was damage to the Villa, I question that as it is not on the pictures. If so, I dare them to post it. It can easily be discussed and if need be, pay for the damages. A lot of netizens are shaming the individuals now as saying “damak”. But it is understandable in this situation as they still need to travel. And again, normal for any hospitality establishment to handle these types of dirt. The apology was also a bit, “forced” or “sarcastic” in a way that they did not address the individuals themselves but the entire “public”. Do they have proper BIR, DENR, or what not licenses to operate?
