What Herlene Budol has to say about her past controversy with Miss Manila?
HERLENE BUDOL – For the first time, the comedienne-host-beauty queen speaks on her controversy with Miss Manila Alexandra Abdon way back in 2020.
Known as “Hipon Girl”, Herlene rose to fame when she joined Wowowin’s segment called Willie of Fortune.
Willie Revillame, later on, decided to make her a regular host of his show because of her talent and funny jokes.
Aside from hosting, she also ventured into acting and later on vlogging. Currently, she has over 2 million subscribers on YouTube via her channel “Herlene Hipon.”
In 2020, she made headlines following her exchange of words with Miss Universe Manila Alexandra Abdon. Eventually, they were able to settle their rift.
Fresh from her success in the Binibinining Pilipinas 2022 wherein she won as first runner-up, Herlene Budol appeared anew in the latest vlog of Karen Davila.

At one point, the two talked about the past issue involving Herlene and Miss Manila Alexandra Abdon in 2020.
According to her, she has no “sama ng loob” with Miss Manila.
“Wala naman na po akong sama ng loob sa kanya kasi dati nagkaayos na po kami. Two years ago na po yung issue na ‘yun pero binabalik-balikan pa po nila,” she said.
“Sinabi niya po na scripted pero sa part ko po hindi po ako nasabihan na scripted. So baka sana trinopa niya ako, sana mas naging magandang tandem pa kami,” she clarified.
But she was hurt by the statement of Miss Manila especially since her family was dragged into the issue.
