Iza Calzado: “It’s so humbling na you’re so used to this kind of energy level and then suddenly it’s here”
IZA CALZADO — After celebrating her 40th birthday with a new milestone, the actress recently shared about her first pregnancy.
To recall, it was last August 12 when the actress marked her 40th birthday by announcing that she and her husband Ben Wintle are expecting their first child together.
At that time, she shared that she’s excited about her new journey as a mother as she considered her first child to be her miracle and guiding light towards the new path.
In an interview with Bianca Gonzalez for Cinema One, Iza said that her pregnancy is a “humbling” experience. According to her, she’s still processing being pregnant but she has been more careful with her body.
She added that she now understands the joy of people when a person is pregnant. The actress also reminded the public to not pressure themselves into having a family.

Iza was also asked for her birthday wish.
“‘Yung number one wish ko talaga is good health for this child and for everyone … kasi siyempre, hindi lang naman gusto mo na ikaw lang. Gusto ko lahat tayo, ‘yun ang nae-experience,” she said.
Iza and Ben have been married since 2018. The couple celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary last December 2021.
The actress is currently gearing up for “Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series” as she will portray “the first Darna” who will pass on her powers to her daughter Narda, portrayed by actress Jane de Leon.
