Iza Calzado: “I was ready to usher in this new chapter in my life”
IZA CALZADO — The actress recently took to social media to announce that she and her husband Ben Wintle are expecting their first child.
She is also celebrating her 40th birthday on Friday, August 12.
Iza shared a photo of herself with a visible baby bump on Instagram along with a pregnancy announcement.
In the caption of her social media post, she shared that she had “big plans” for her 40th year on Earth as it also coincided with her 20th year in the showbiz industry.
She added that she already completed a few of exciting projects lined up for her and there were a few dream projects in the pipeline.

Among those exciting projects lined up for her is “Darna: The TV Series” wherein she is set to portray Narda’s mother and will momentarily play the first Darna in the series.
“I was ready to usher in this new chapter in my life,” she said. “Then you came along. Unexpectedly. You may not have been in my immediate plans but I instinctively knew that this was THE plan.“
She went on to say that God’s plans are far greater than hers and she humbly accepts the new chapter of her life with a heart filled with gratitude, casting all her worries and fears aside, and “simply trusting in the divine timing and wisdom of life”.
The actress is also excited about her new journey as a mom as she considered her child to be her miracle and guiding light towards this new path.
Among those who congratulated her were Sunshine Cruz, Sarah Lahbati, Nikki Gil, Dawn Zulueta, Camille Prats, Angelica Panganiban, Dimples Romana, Bianca Gonzalez, and Sue Ramirez.
Iza Calzado and Ben Wintle have been married since 2018. They celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary in December last year.
