Bongbong Marcos Jr. Receives Congratulatory Remarks From ‘Eat Bulaga’ Host Joey de Leon
BONGBONG MARCOS – President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. received congratulatory remarks from ‘Eat Bulaga’ host Joey de Leon.
Joey de Leon is a Filipino actor, comedian, and tv host. He is best known for being a pioneer host of the longest-running noontime show in the country, “Eat Bulaga.” It was 1979 when the program started appearing on tv. It also circulated on various stations until it remained on GMA Network for almost 3 decades.
The veteran host, along with the Eat Bulaga Dabarkads supported the vice-presidential candidacy of Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto who was the running mate of Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson.
After the 2022 election, Joey de Leon uploaded a collage photo of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio that were taken during their proclamation. He then penned a clever pun as a caption. He wrote, “Bakit si BBM Presidente ngayon? Kasi after DU30, yung may 31 naman! After that, DU30 TOO! Gets.”
BBM is the 8th president to be reached by Eat Bulaga. Joey took to his IG page to congratulate Marcos Jr. He took oath as the 17th president of the Republic of the Philippines at the National Museum of the Philippines yesterday, June 30.

In the caption, he sent his congratulations to BBM for winning the elections. Joey also joked about PBBM’s oath-taking, as its live coverage coincided with the timeslot of the noontime show.
“Simula sa araw na ito, opisyal nang sumasahimpapawid ang Eat Bulaga sa WALONG PANGULO ng Pilipinas! Congratulations President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.!”
“At bilang pagkilala, waring itinapat pa nya ang kanyang pagsumpa sa oras ng Eat Bulaga matapos kumpirmahin ang kanyang pagwawagi ng isa sa mga hosts ng show, yung nasa kaliwa ng larawan! Muli ang aming pagbati!” he wrote.
