Joey de Leon: “Kahit anong brand pa ng bakuna yan basta inaprubahan ng FDA”
Eat Bulaga mainstay Joey de Leon took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein he shared his stance regarding debates in the COVID-19 vaccine.
On Monday, January 11, the Malacañang Palace said that the Filipinos can’t choose the COVID-19 vaccine brand they would receive from the Philippine government.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque stressed that Filipino people should not choose the brand of the COVID-19 vaccine they will receive after the latest surveys show a lot of Filipinos are hesitant to receive the vaccine.
Roque explained that the individuals who were included on the vaccination priority list might lose their slot in the list if they would refuse to accept the vaccine. The recipients can sign a waiver if they don’t want to receive the vaccine assigned to them.
His statement earned the ire of several groups and personalities with some noting that people have the right to be ‘choosy‘ with the COVID-19 vaccine.
Among those who earlier reacted on the matter is comedian and Eat Bulaga host, Joey de Leon.
“Ang pinakamaayos na pagpapaliwanag tungkol sa bakuna para sa akin ay nagmumula kay Dr. Maria Rosario Vergeire. TANDAAN: kahit anong brand pa ng bakuna yan basta inaprubahan ng FDA o Food & Drug Administration, equal footing o pare-pareho nang effective at safe yan!” he said.
