It was just recently when a thanksgiving concert for Duterte has been held. It took place at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

Among the performers in the said event are Kapamilya singers Jed Madela and Martin Nievera.

Aside from Jed and Martin, among those who performed at the said concert are renowned artists such as; Andrew E, Chad Borja, Dulce, Florante, Freddie Aguilar, Ice Seguerra, Isay Alvarez, Jimmy Bondoc, Martin Nievera, Moymoy Palaboy, Robert Sena and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra.

Their performance at the thanksgiving concert for Duterte earned criticism.

One of those who criticized them is Jerry Grácio, the Kapamilya party-list nominee who failed to secure a congressional slot in the previous election

Grácio has been a staunch critic of those who became part of ABS-CBN but supports Duterte and President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

In fact, he was among those who urge Toni Gonzaga to resign from ABS-CBN after supporting Marcos Jr.

Eventually, the television host resigned from her program on Kapamilya Network.

“Pakitanong kay Martin Nievera, Jed Madela, atbp kung bakit sila nagpapasalamat kay Duterte–dahil ipinasara ni Duterte ang network na pinagtrabahuan nila? Dahil nawalan ng trabaho ang mga kapwa nila manggagawa sa ABS-CBN? Pakitanong please,” he wrote.

As expected, his post generated reactions from the netizens.

Jed Madela and Martin Nievera have yet to issue any statement with regards to the remark of Grácio.
