JED MADELA – The singer was called “bobo” and “tanga” because of his performance during the thanksgiving concert for outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte.

The Iloilo-based singer is considered one of the most promising singers of the country.

He was even named the first Filipino to win the World Championships of Performing Arts title.

He has been a regular performer at the ABS-CBN Sunday variety show, ASAP.

It was just recently when a thanksgiving concert for Duterte has been held. It took place at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

One of the performers in the said event is singer Jed Madela who sang the song “You Raise Me Up.”

But according to the singer, someone called him “tanga” and “bobo” because of singing the song.

“Someone called me TANGA and BOBO coz I sang YOU RAISE ME UP. Pang patay daw…Saang part kaya dun ang pang patay?” he wrote.

“Tsk tsk tsk. I pity this person… Haaaaay… Halika. Explain ko ang lyrics sa yo,” he added.

His post is currently making rounds online garnering mixed reactions from the netizens.

Aside from singing the song, You Raise Me Up, he also made a soulful rendition of “One Moment In Time” which earned him a standing ovation from the president.

Aside from Jed Madela, among those who performed at the said concert are renowned artists such as; Andrew E, Chad Borja, Dulce, Florante, Freddie Aguilar, Ice Seguerra, Isay Alvarez, Jimmy Bondoc, Martin Nievera, Moymoy Palaboy, Robert Sena and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra.
