Navotas City Mayor supports BBM-Sara tandem
TOBY TIANGCO – The mayor of Navotas City will be supporting the UniTeam tandem of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
Marcos Jr. will run for the highest government position alongside his running mate Duterte-Carpio.
They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
A lot of personalities, celebrities, and even politicians have expressed their support to BBM and Sara Duterte, and among those is Navotas City Mayor Tobias “Toby” Tiangco.
According to Tiangco, his local party- Partido Navoteño, he would make sure to get many votes for the UniTeam.
Aside from Tiangco, also supporting the UniTeam are Metro Manila mayors such as Valenzuela City Mayor Rexlon “Rex” Gatchalian, brother of UniTeam senatorial bet Sherwin “Win” Gatchalian as well as San Juan City’s Francis Zamora and Caloocan’s Oscar Malapitan.
Meanwhile, it was on February 8 when the campaign period for national posts kicked off.
The candidates are busy campaigning in various parts of the country.
Among those who will run for senator under the slate of BBM are Senators Sherwin Gatchalian and Juan Miguel Zubiri, former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, former Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, former Palace spokesperson Harry Roque, Rep. Loren Legarda, former senator Jinggoy Estrada, Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista and lawyer Larry Gadon.
Also joining the slate is former Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Gringo.
