Moreno and Ong are gearing up for the top posts in the government ahead of the May 9 elections.

They will go against the tandem of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay Partylist Representative Lito Atienza, as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

Previously, Moreno whose real name is Francisco Domagoso went to Mindanao for his campaign.

Apparently, some groups there are rooting for Moreno and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

In an interview, Banayo said that they talked to Ong before Moreno went to Mindanao.

Banayo stressed that he doesn’t want to put Ong in an embarrassing situation that’s why he decided not to include him in the campaign.

“So I called up Doc Willie, and I said, Doc, baka mas mabuti po ‘wag kayong sumama sa Mindanao kasi i don’t want to put you in an embarrassing situation where ‘yung mga tarpaulins doon is Isko-Sara,” he said.

But he denied leaving Ong on the air for the presidential daughter.

To recall, Doc Willie Ong made headlines after he admitted that he was hurt by the pairing of Isko Moreno and Sara Duterte.

“Siyempre na-hurt ako. Masakit yun,” he said when asked about it.
