Dubbed as the “Ms. Body Beautiful” of Philippine movies in the 1980s, the actress recently went to the social networking site, Facebook wherein she lamented the alliance of Sara Duterte with former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

In a surprise move, the presidential daughter joined the race with Marcos Jr.

They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, Sen. Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist Rep. Lito Atienza, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong as well as Sen. Ping Lacson and Sen. Tito Sotto.

Meanwhile, Vivian Velez was saddened by the alliance of Inday Sara with Bongbong Marcos.

“In one of my lucid dreams. Nagiisang berde sa mga pula Bakit Inday? Babawi kami kay Bong Go.’No regrets in life, just lessons learned.'” she said.

In another Facebook post, she wrote: “174 days before May 9, 2022. Mahaba pa po ang kampanya. Huwag feeling panalo na kayo… wait lang, ok.”

It can be recalled that Velez is pushing Sara Duterte to run for president. But the latter chose not to run for the highest position.

On the other hand, Vivian Velez has chosen Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go over Marcos.

Some netizens also expressed support for Velez and among those is Undersecretary Mon Cualoping.

“I feel the same way as Ma’am Vivian Velez. I would have wanted my Davao City Mayor Inday Sara to be the star, to be the successor of President Duterte in 2022. But things just don’t turn out the way we want it to be. Pero tuloy ang laban para sa #DuterteLegacy! BONG GO-INDAY SARA DUTERTE!!!” he said.

Some Marcos supporters called the former actress “bitter.”

For now, Sara Duterte has yet to air any statement with regards to criticism she’s receiving on social media.
