Pacquiao staff: “Ang alam ko nagbigay lang ng tip sa mga guard kasi nag-assist sila para makasakay si Sen. Manny sa sasakyan.”

The camp of Senator Manny Pacquiao denied that they gave P1,000 each to its supporters who were waiting for his arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) early Monday morning.

More than 60 fans headed to NAIA Terminal II to await the arrival of Pacquiao and his family while carrying tarpaulins and banners.

Physical distance was not observed when the boxing legend was seen coming. There was even a commotion when a senator’s staff took money from the boxer’s vehicle.

However, Pacquiao’s camp immediately denied that they distributed P1,000 to each supporter who was present in his arrival.

Bernard Peralta, a staff of the senator, explained that the money was only given as a tip to guards assisting Senator Manny and his family.

According to TNT Abante, Pacquiao arrived at 3:23 a.m. aboard Philippine Airlines flight 103 from Los Angeles, along with his family and staff.

Peralta said the Pacquiao family and its staff will undergo a 10-day quarantine at a hotel in Pasay City where they booked seven rooms.

The senator was surprised to see the NAIA supporters and again apologized for not winning his fight against Yordenis Ugas.

Recently, Pacquiao fought Ugas for the WBA Welterweight title.

Unfortunately, he lost to Ugas via a Unanimous decision (115-113, 116-112, 116-112) after 12 rounds of boxing.

Meanwhile, The People’s Champ is said to be discussing his political plans for 2022 next month.

He will also talk with Vice President Leni Robredo, Senate President Vicente Sotto III, and Senator Panfilo Lacson with regards to the 2022 polls.

Manny Pacquiao is one of the leading names in the presidential seat. However, he is yet to announce if he is running for the said position or not.
