Ai-Ai DELAS ALAS – The Comedy Queen mourned the passing of her friend at the same time her discoverer, who passed away due to COVID-19.
The comedienne started her career as a stand-up comedienne at the Music Box comedy bar.
It is owned by Boss Wowie or Jun de Dios in real life who happened to be the discoverer of Ai-Ai delas Alas.
Unfortunately, Boss Wowie passed away due to COVID-19 complications.
Aside from being a discoverer, Boss Wowie was the one who encouraged Ai-Ai to enter showbiz.
“Siya yung unang naniwala sa akin, sa amin nina Arnell. Siya yung unang nakakita na nakakatawa pala ako. At siya yung nagpilit na maniwala ako na nakakapagpasaya ako ng tao,” she said.
Before entering the movie industry and becoming an actress, Ai-Ai became a sing-along master at Music Box. It was there that her talent was honed which paved the way for her to be given a break in the film industry.
“Sobrang nalulungkot ako … sIya ang mahal kong boss kung hindi nIya ko kinuha na singalong master sa Music Box hindi sana ko si Ai-Ai ngayun,” she said.
She also thanked her mentor/friend for the opportunity he gave her.
“Salamat boss Wowie sa opportunity na binigay mo sa aken , salamat sa friendship, salamat sa kabaitan mo saken .. salamat at ikaw ang unang naniwala samen ni arnell boss @bignelli. Pahinga ka na… till we meet again… I love you,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
