However, some individuals were unfortunate to earn enough money for their daily necessities and enduring the hardships just to bring food on their table.

A Facebook user named Lenmar Davidon TV has shared the heartbreaking photo of an elderly woman selling broomsticks or “walis tingting” due to poverty. The post is now circulating on social media.

Lenmar saw the poor lady selling broomsticks near “Ysabelles” in front of Metrodome. The elderly woman is sitting at the floor while waiting for customers to buy her walis tingting products.

Each broom costs P35, which is already a great help for her family’s daily expenses such as food and basic commodities. He encouraged the public to lend a helping hand and purchase broom from the woman.
