In an interview, Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon said that the deadline will be on March 31.

“Yung registration ng party-list, ‘yung mga tunay ha, mino-move na namin ang deadline nyan ng March 31. Kapag hindi kayo umabot dyan wala nang motion for reconsideration ‘yan kapag nagfile kayo ng April 1,” she said.

“So March 31 ang deadline niyo, tsaka ‘yung substitution ng list of nominees ninyo kailangan nakapublish. ‘Yung proof of publication isasubmit sa Comelec not later than November sa itong year na ito,” the Comelec commissioner added.

Earlier, spokesperson James Jimenez said that so far, about 1.3 million voter applications have been recorded by the election body for the upcoming polls.

Meanwhile, the voter registration is set to end on September 30 and Comelec is eyeing to have four million new voters for the 2022 elections.

But Comelec has several reminders regarding voter registration.

According to the poll body, voter registration on areas under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) and General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) “shall automatically be suspended upon the upgrading of their quarantine status to MECQ or ECQ.”

Application forms which can be downloaded through its official website may be submitted at the Office of the Election Officer from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m, Tuesday to Saturday.

Applicants are being reminded that they should not sign the downloaded application forms without the presence of an election officer.

Applicants are said to bring their own pens when coming to the Comelec office to sign the application form.

Wearing of face mask and face shield is required in order to ensure the observance of minimum health standards.
