Janine Gutierrez as Valentina of Darna?
Newest Kapamilya star Janine Gutierrez is willing to play the role of Valentina in the upcoming remake of “Darna.”
However, she clarified that she’s still not sure if she will be part of the TV remake and the re-emergence of the iconic Pinay superhero.
It has been rumored that when she moved to ABS-CBN, her first project will be “Darna.”
During the virtual mediacon held by Dreamscape Entertainment, one of the questions asked to her is that if she’s willing to play the role of Valentina in Darna, played by Jane de Leon.
“It’s so interesting for me, kasi, of course, I’m a fan of Darna, I’m a fan of all the old films,” she said.
She even mentioned the portrayal of her grandmother Pilita Corrales as Valentina in “Darna: Ang Pagbabalik” which was released in 1994 starring former beauty queen Anjanette Abayari.
“Siyempre, flattered ako na nakikita ako ng ibang tao na mapasama sa ganoong klaseng proyekto. But I don’t know, we’ll see,” she said.
However, she’s still not sure if she will become part of the series.
Meanwhile, Janine Gutierrez has secured a spot on Sunday variety show “ASAP Natin‘ To” as one of its hosts.
She will also make a film under Star Cinema and possibly appear on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano starring Coco Martin.
