Relatives of Sonia and Frank Anthony Gregorio did not accept Jonel Nuezca’s repentance for killing the mother and son in Paniqui, Tarlac on Sunday.
According to Rosario Gundran, Sonia’s eldest sister, the pain was too deep for them to accept the apology from Police Staff Sergeant Jonel Nuezca.
“Taon-taon, ipapapaala ko sa cellphone na noong araw na ‘yon, ganoon ang ginawa niya. Ipapakita ko ang video sa lahat na makikita ng mundo,” she said
“Kung nagsisisisi siya, well and good. Ginagawa na niya,” she added
Based on her statement, they were supposed to hold a reunion this holiday season, but it ended up with the unfortunate death of the Gregorios.
“Ang reunion namin, patay ang kapatid ko,” she noted.
Frank Anthony’s former teachers also went to their wake, calling for justice in their killings.
“Parang ang sakit po sa dibdib. ‘Yong hustisya po ang dapat manaig sa atin, ‘yong mga buhay na nabawi sa kanila,” teacher Regina Lacayanga said.
Meanwhile, 12 members of the Gregorio family who were minors underwent psycho-social counseling after witnessing the shooting themselves.
“Para i-vent po ang mga nararamdaman nila. Isa po ‘yon sa mga ways po ‘yon para makapag-move on ang mga victims po natin,” the social worker Aladin Balilo said.
