Marjorie Barretto refuted the rumor spread by former broadcaster Jay Sonza that her daughter Julia Barretto was pregnant.
Recently, the former broadcaster made headlines after he claimed that the 23-year-old actress is pregnant with Gerald Anderson’s child.
“Dito muna tayo sa mga balitang may katotohanan, may pag-iibigan, may pinagsaluhang nakakapanginig ng laman at higit sa lahat, nagbunga,” Jay Sonza said in his post.
“Congratulations sa aking kapitbahay sa Congressional Village, Bahay Toro, Quezon City. Napatunayan nina Visoy (visayan tisoy) Gerald Anderson at anak nina Dennis Padilla at Marjorie na si Julia Barreto na kapuwa hindi sila baog,” he stressed.
In the Facebook post, Jay Sonza also claimed that Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson were together in the recent lockdown.
But Marjorie Barretto, the mother of Julia, was quick to deny the rumor about her daughter’s pregnancy.
According to her via Star Magic which was also reported by the entertainment website, Push, the rumor was “definitely not true.”
It can be recalled that in 2018, Julia Barretto’s name began to be associated with Gerald Anderson, who was then in a relationship with actress Bea Alonzo.
On the other hand, Gerald Anderson was also dragged in the breakup of Julia and Joshua Garcia but both parties denied third-party allegations.
Meanwhile, Julia Barretto has already issued a statement to refute the claims of Jay Sonza that she’s pregnant.
