Angel Locsin on ‘illegally dismissed’ ABS-CBN employees
Kapamilya star Angel Locsin answered the accusations of netizens of allegedly not helping the “illegally dismissed” employees of ABS-CBN.
Earlier, the 33-year-old actress took to the image-sharing platform, Instagram wherein she posted a video of support to her home network, ABS-CBN.
Many commended the actress’s call for the country’s largest network to have a new franchise but there are some who reacted, mentioning about the “illegally dismissed” employees of the Kapamilya Network.
Two netizens asked Angel Locsin if why she was not able to help the ” illegally dismissed” employees.
But the actress was quick to refute that she was not able to help them at the time since the cases have been brought up to court.

Meanwhile, July 6 marked as the last day of the congressional hearing for the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN. The fate of the network will be revealed in due time.
In the previous hearings, issues that apparently hinders the renewal of network’s franchise have been tackled.
Among the issues raised against the executives of ABS-CBN were foreign ownership, tax violations, labor cases and to name a few.
It was on May 4 when the franchise of ABS-CBN expired.
On May 5, the country’s largest network with over 11,000 employees was shutdown following a cease and desist order issued against the network by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
