2K Names Kobe Bryant As One Of Cover Athletes For NBA 2K21

2K revealed that Kobe Bryant was one of the Cover Athletes for NBA 2K21.

2K Games officially announced that Kobe Bryant would be the third cover athlete of the upcoming NBA 2K21 after Damian Lillard and Zion Williamson.

This, as Kobe Bryant would be featured on two different covers of NBA 2K21’s Special “Mamba Forever” Edition.

NBA 2K21’s Special Edition would feature artwork from Kobe’s 81-point performance last 2006 wearing #8 jersey, and an artwork wherein Kobe — wearing #24 jersey — was waving after his final game in which he scored 60 points in a game.

Kobe would be one of three cover athletes for NBA 2K21 along with Damian Lillard and Zion Williamson. Although Lillard and Willamson would appear on their respective NBA 2K21 standard editions.

NBA 2K Vice President of Global Marketing Alice Brody said that each of its cover athletes may represent various eras of the game of basketball. Brody also said that announcing three cover athletes was “just the first of many” for NBA 2K21 as it was going to be “a huge year” for NBA 2K gamers and basketball fans.

In a report on Yugatech, the “Mamba Forever” Edition of NBA 2K21 was priced at USD 99.99 and would be available on current and next-generation systems on either Xbox or PlayStation.

As per the report, the upcoming NBA 2K21 would also feature a “Shared VC Wallet” and “MyTEAM Cross-Progression” within the same console family. Moreover, the NBA 2K21 was set to launch worldwide on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Google Stadia, and Nintendo Switch starting September 4.
