Man whose nickname is Crush ng Bayan to run for president
A certain Danilo Villanueva whose nickname is “Crush ng Bayan” will run for president in the coming elections.
A lot of personalities and ordinary citizens are trying their luck in the coming elections.
From the president down to locally-elected positions, numerous individuals have already filed their Certificate of Candidacy (COC) with hopes to land a post in the government.
Speaking of the highest position in the country, which is the presidency, there were unfamiliar people who actually filed COC hoping to be qualified in next year’s poll.
In fact, as of October 6, 3:45 pm, 40 aspirants for president have filed their COCs.
Unfortunately, some of them might be declared as nuisance candidates in the process.
A nuisance candidate is an aspirant candidate for a public office whose certificate of candidacy was not accepted by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
Meanwhile, a certain Danilo Villanueva whose nickname is “Crush ng Bayan” is also vying for the top post in the coming elections.
Villanueva, a resident of Bagong Silang, Caloocan City filed his COC past 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6.
Aside from his nickname, Crush ng Bayan, there are no further details about the 50-year-old aspirant.
The filing of COC for national posts (president, vice president, and senator) is being held at the Harbor Garden Tent inside the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila compound in Pasay City.
The filing of COC kicked off on Friday, October 1 and it will end on October 8.
The Commission on Elections will post a tentative list of candidates on October 29.
On the other hand, the campaign period for nationally-elected positions will kick off on February 8, 2022, until May 7, 2022. The nationwide elections are scheduled to be held on May 9.
