RODRIGO DUTERTE – The former President’s common-law wife, Honeylet Avanceña, confirmed the selling of their house in Davao.

However, the Department of Interior and Local Government or DILG previously said there is no “Work from Hague” for former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. According to Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla, he should be physically in office to perform his duties as the mayor of Davao. Otherwise, the city’s acting mayor will be his son, Davao vice mayor-elect Baste Duterte.

Based on the report, in an interview with dzRH, Honeylet Avanceña, the common-law wife of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, previously confirmed the selling of their house in Davao. She cited security concerns. The lawyers also advised them to install CCTV in all areas including the bedroom which makes her probably uncomfortable.

“It pains me every time I go there. I’m the only one who visits there now. There are four househelp but with no master. We abandoned it after what happened. I cannot sleep there anymore because the lawyers asked us to install CCTV – even inside the bedroom,” Avanceña said.

However, based on the report, the “for sale” sign hanged at the gate of the house has already been removed. Now, it is unclear if the Dutertes have changed their mind over the selling of the property or it has already been sold. Previously, few old police vehicles were parked at the back of the house but, now, new sport utility vehicles of the Cebu Landmasters, the owner of the Davao Global Township, can be found there.

Furthermore, the back portion of the residential property has also been covered with galvanized iron roofing now with “The East Village of DGT (Davao Global Township) Live Amazing” stated on it. Newly built and painted structed can also be reportedly found in the area.

Previously, it was confirmed that the lawyers of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte sought the ICC interim release of the former Chief Executive. Vice Pres. Sara Duterte cited the age of her father in the bid for his ICC interim release.
