Marian Rivera Says Old Rumor About Locking an Actress in a Room Did Not Happen
MARIAN RIVERA – Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera has finally addressed a showbiz rumor that has followed her for years, the story that she once locked an actress inside a room.
The actress talked about the issue in the Sunday, October 25, 2026, episode of “Gandang Gabi Vice,” when host Vice Ganda asked her to clarify the hearsay, according to a report by Philstar.com published on October 26.
Marian said the incident did not happen the way it had been told over the years.
“Kung ang tanong mo ay nangyari ba talaga? Hindi,” she said.
She also pointed out why the story did not make sense to her. “Paano mo gagawin ‘yon na ila-lock mo e nasa loob ang lock? So, dalawa kaming nag-lock?” Marian added.
The actress, who did not name the other celebrity, revealed that the two of them had already made peace. According to Marian, the actress appeared on her former talk show “Marian” and apologized to her.
“‘Yung totoo niyan, maayos na kaming dalawa,” she said.
“Nag-sorry siya sa akin. So, from there, alam niya na may mga nangyari na hindi naman talagang nangyari. Para sa akin, hindi ko na kailangan i-explain sa social media,” Marian added.
Marian said it was the first time she spoke publicly about the rumor. She explained that she chose to stay quiet before because she felt that people had already made up their minds about the story.
Instead of continuing to explain her side, she said she is at peace knowing the truth and that she and the actress have both moved on.
“Okay na ako doon. Ang mahalaga, ‘pag nagkikita kami, okay na kami. At napatawad ko na siya,” Marian said.
