Karla Estrada opens up about growing up without a father
KARLA ESTRADA – The well-known TV personality opened up about her life’s challenges in an interview with journalist Bernadette Sembrano.
Growing up without a father, she admitted that this absence greatly impacted her romantic experiences, often leading to mistakes in relationships. She shared how simple acts of kindness, like receiving flowers or compliments, made her feel cherished, revealing her longing for affection.
“Lagi akong nagkakamali sa pagmamahal. Kasi malaking impact sa akin ang paglaki ng walang tatay. Walang father image. Hindi ko alam kung paano ako mahalin ng isang lalaking imahe,” said Karla. “Feeling ko, pagka binigyan ako ng bulaklak, pinakitaan ako ng maganda, sabihan ako ng flattering words, or mga pambobola, feeling ko mahal na ako,” she added.
Despite her romantic setbacks, she clarified that having children was not a regrettable outcome of her relationships. She explained that her children were born during times of love and mutual commitment, in contrast to situations of separation.
She acknowledged the difficulties in maintaining relationships, recognizing moments where only one aspect kept the bond intact, ultimately leading to separations. As a mother of four from different relationships, Karla provided insights into her journey of navigating love and family amidst personal challenges and societal pressures.
