Daryl Ong’s confession
Singer Daryl Ong is currently making rounds online following his confession via a blog that he posted on various social media platforms that he is no longer part of ABS-CBN.
Earlier, Daryl Ong took to Facebook and YouTube wherein he thanked his fans and supporters as he bids goodbye to the Kapamilya Network.
Daryl Ong rose to fame when he first joined the Philippine adaptation of The Voice.
After his The Voice stint, he made a name for himself after performing some of the popular soundtracks of ABS-CBN primetime series such as on “On the Wings of Love” and “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
He was also part of the trio, “BuDaKhel” alongside Bugoy Drilon and Michael Pangilinan.

But recently, he revealed that he is no longer a Kapamilya artist.
“Hindi po ako ang umalis sa ABS, tinanggal po ako,” he said.

According to Daryl Ong, it all started when he and other members of BuDaKhel went to Iloilo for an event.
They were at the airport when they came across a conversation about the franchise issue of ABS-CBN.

But their chitchat was recorded by someone and apparently it reached a “big boss” from ABS-CBN.
Then, he and Bugoy Drilon were told that they are banned from performing on any Kapamilya shows.
This happened even before the hiatus of ABS-CBN following its shutdown due to franchise renewal issues.
